A Champion’s Start to the New Academic Year at Varna Free University “Chernorizets Hrabar”
27/09/2026Varna Free University “Chernorizets Hrabar” will officially open the 2026/2027 academic year on September 28th at 10:00 a.m. in the East Park. The ceremony will be opened by the University President, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Krasimir Nedyalkov, and the Rector, Prof. Dr. Petar Hristov. It will be part of the celebrations marking two significant anniversaries for the university - the 35th anniversary of its founding and the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Student Council.

The Department of Arts Honored the Authors of the Façade Design Projects for the “Izgrev” Residential Care Centre
23/09/2026The students Nikolay Todorov, Katrina Stoyanova, and Mina Ganeva received certificates of recognition for their projects created as part of a charitable initiative to artistically transform the houses of the “Izgrev” Residential Care Centre. Nikolay’s and Katrina’s compositions have already been realized on the façades of two of the houses, while Mina’s project received the highest number of votes in the students’ selection.

Earthquake Simulation Truck Capable of Simulating Magnitude 7.8 Earthquakes Arrives in Varna
16/09/2026A specialized earthquake simulation truck will be stationed in the parking area of the Sports Hall in Varna on September 25th and 26th, 2026. Experts from the Department of Security and Safety at Varna Free University, the Municipality of Tekirdağ, and the Turkish Earthquake Foundation will present the initiative, which aims to raise awareness and preparedness among children and adults for responding to earthquakes.
