Varna Free University “Chernorizets Hrabar”  has started working on “Student Internships” projects as the university is a partner  of Ministry of Education, Youth and Science.

The project is co-funded as a part of the programme “Human Resources Development” with 1 904 643,12 BGN (973 828.56 euro) All activities of the project will be taking place until 31st December 2014.

“Student Internships” aims to improve the quality of education through providing students with the opportunity to get practical experience and develop their own skills according to the needs of the labour market. Moreover, it aims to facilitate the transition from educational institutions to the working place and help them with their successful  professional development.

Among the other aims of the project are building a strong relationship between the business and educational institutions and stimulating students to participate in practical education in real working environment. This would eventually lead to changes in the modules’ content, topics they include to suit the needs of the labour market. Employers will be provid4ed with the opportunity to choose students that have shown extraordinary performance at work.

As planned, 2463 VFU students will go through  240 hours of practical training for which each of them will receive a grant of 480 BGN (245.42 euro)
