The new industrial revolution has provoked the transition from a linear to a circular economy. This model will make it possible to use rationally the limited natural resources. Twelve retirees from the club at Kaisieva Gradina joined the pilot group on digital skills and cyber security training. Their guides in the digital world are two students from the professional area of Informatics and Computer Science at Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar". They train elderly people not only in acquiring basic digital skills but also in the basic safety rules on the Internet. Among the important things that the elderly people will learn are how to protect themselves from online scammers, how to connect with children and grandchildren abroad, without fear of new technologies, what is spam and how not to become victims of false advertising.
The honorary director of the European Commission Directorate-General for the Environment George Kremlis, the Chair of the Parliamentary Committee on Environment and Water Ms Ivelina Vasileva, the professor at Athens Technical University Prof. Maria Loizidou, the Executive Director of TEXAN Recycling Centers, Athens Dr Panagiotis Mourgos and the investment consultant Alkis Stavridis will arrive for the start of the training in the only one in the country master programme in Circular Economy on 1 December at Varna Free University.
At a solemn ceremony in the aula of Varna Free University, the President of the University Prof. Anna Nedyalkova, D.Sc. conferred the Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences Prof. Alexey Gromiko, D.Sc. with the title "Honorary Professor of Varna Free University".

The competition for creative skills VARNA SPAGHETTI ENGENEERING was held for the sixth consecutive year at Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar". 24 teams took part in it. 14 of them included representatives of vocational secondary schools of architecture, construction and geodesy from Varna, Bourgas, Stara Zagora, Shumen, Kardzhali, Sofia, Veliko Tarnovo and Plovdiv, and in 6 interdisciplinary teams participated students of building engineering and architecture from VFU Chernorizets Hrabar, as well as 4 teams of foreign students from Ukraine.
Participants in teams from several cities in the country took part in this year's QUERYADA competition. For the fourth consecutive year Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" organized the national competition for school and university students of different ages, majoring in IT.
