160 STUDENTS GRADUATED FROM THE SMOLYAN BRANCH OF VARNA FREE UNIVERSITY

Students from Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" - Branch Smolyan, class 2019 were awarded their diplomas at a solemn ceremony. The celebration gathered representatives of the local and state authorities, business and the management of Varna Free University in hall "Bulgaria” of the Smolyan branch.

Guests of the celebration were the chairperson of the Board of Trustees of Varna Free University Prof. D.Sc. Anna Nedyalkova, the mayor of Smolyan Nikolay Melemov, the district governor of Smolyan Nedyalko Slavov, mayor of Madan municipality Fakhri Molaysenov, mayor of Chepelare municipality Boran Hadjiev, mayor of Banite municipality Milen Belchev, mayor of Velingrad municipality Kostadin Koev, deputy mayor of Smolyan municipality Marin Zahariev, MPs Krasimir Sabev and Dora Yankova, senior commissioner Nikolay Dimov - Director of the Ministry of Interior, Smolyan, Stoyan Mandadzhiev - Director of the Border Police, Major Stefan Dimov - Deputy. - Commander of the 101st Alpine Regiment, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ivan Sokolov - Executive Director of the International Fair - Plovdiv and Honorary Consul of the Czech Republic, Tanya Mareva – deputy Editor-in-chief of Rodopi Magazine, Panteley Memtsov - chairman of the Municipal Council of Chepelare, Adalbert Ferrev - chairman of the Municipal Council of Dospat, Elka Stancheva - Secretary of the Municipality of Devin, Ruska Milusheva - Head of the Administrative Department of the National Social Security Institute (NSSI) -Smolyan.
Assoc. Prof. Dr.Anelia Purzhanova - Director of the Smolyan Branch at VFU "Chernorizets Hrabur", welcomed the graduates and guests. “The Smolyan Branch has come a long way in its development, showing a strong will to develop new educational products, with the expressed strength of innovation in bachelor's and master's programs, with emphasis on outsourced training, student internships and practices," she said.

"Confidence, dedication and responsibility" these messages were addressed to the graduates by Prof. Nedialkova. "Be assured that you carry a capital that you can successfully realize. Be committed to your family and parents and the Rhodope region. Be responsible to yourself, to your family, to the great values of the Rhodope Mountains and to your dignity," added the chairperson of the Board of Trustees of VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar.

"Today you are graduating from a reputable and prestigious university," said Nikolay Melemov, mayor of Smolyan municipality. He urges the graduates to continue to learn throughout their lives and to be persistent.

The Regional Governor of the Smolyan Region Nedyalko Slavov wished the graduates to be discoverers and find new solutions in their professional realization. "We value our partnership with Varna Free University. We highly value what the university and its Smolyan branch add to the economic, social and educational standards in the Rhodopes. We highly value the innovations that VFU "Chernorizets Hrabur" offers in education," added the governor.
The memeber of parliament Dora Yankova addressed the graduates with the words: "The specialties you have graduated are precisely those that will modernize Bulgaria and will have the opportunity to strengthen the state and the state authority. Modern Bulgaria needs unburdened and well-educated people." The MP expressed her respect for the management and academic community of Varna Free University for what they do for the Rhodopes region and for the country's education. "Be worthy citizens of Smolyan, Bulgaria and the world," wished the MP Dr. Krasimir Sabev.
Diplomas were awarded to 160 graduates majoring in “National Security Protection", "Crime Prevention and Public Order Protection", "Business Administration and Management", "Construction of buildings and Facilities", as well as graduates from the Master's Degree Programmes in "Tax and Customs Control" and "Financial and Banking Management".
