
The President of Varna Free University “Chernorizets Hrabar” gave an interview to the Dir.bg portal on the occasion of the university’s 35th anniversary.

The choreography for the ceremony was created collaboratively by students from the Choreography programme - Bozhidar Gudev, a first-year student, and Evelina Georgieva, a fourth-year student - together with university alumna Zdravena Nakeva, a well-established name in Bulgarian rhythmic gymnastics in Varna.

For 30 years, the faculty has been developing nationally accredited and internationally recognized higher education in the field of architecture and construction.

The seven bronze figures of the Equal-to-the-Apostles saints and enlighteners Cyril and Methodius and their disciples - St. Clement, St. Naum, St. Gorazd, St. Sava, and St. Angelarius - will be donated by Varna Free University Chernorizets Hrabar.

The Faculty of Social, Economic, and Computer Sciences at Varna Free University “Chernorizets Hrabar” is organizing a masterclass titled “The Art of Communication” as part of the initiatives celebrating the university’s 35th anniversary.

The official graduation ceremony for the graduates of the autumn session 2025 will take place on May 24, 2026, in the Plenary Hall of Varna Municipality, after the procession in the city (see the program).

By 2029, Varna Free University “Chernorizets Hrabar” will become a model institution for higher education in applied sciences, said Rector Prof. Dr. Petar Hristov. He recalled that this year the university is celebrating its 35th anniversary, and that later this week more than 400 alumni are expected to attend the largest alumni reunion in the institution’s history.

“Varna Free University “Chernorizets Hrabar” will receive the prestigious Varna Award for its contribution to the development of architectural, construction, and geodetic education. The distinction is recognition of the faculty’s long-standing work and its modern approach to preparing future professionals”, Assoc. Prof. Rositsa Slipec emphasized in an interview for Radio Varna.
