30 FOREIGN STUDENTS SUCCESSFULLY FINISHED THE PREPARATORY COURSE IN BULGARIAN AND ENGLISH AT VFU "CHERNORIZETS HRABER"

Today, September 26, marks the European Day of Languages, announced by the Council of Europe with the support of the European Union in December 2001. This celebration aims to promote the study of foreign languages in Europe and promote cultural exchange between different nations and cultures.
In this context, the preparatory courses in Bulgarian and English at the Department of Foreign Language Teaching and Postgraduate Qualification at Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar", in which nearly 30 foreign students from different countries, including Ukraine, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Russia and Syria finished today. The students covered level B2, according to the European Language Framework.
In order to support the knowledge, skills and competences of the students in both languages, the courses also included additional training in some of the museums in the city of Varna. To further learn about the history, culture and traditions of the Bulgarian people, some of the young people participated in traditional language practices, named "The Old Capitals of Bulgaria", as well as in other cultural events organized by the university during the past academic year.
The results of the training are very good, and the majority of foreign students continue their education, enrolling in various bachelor's programmes at Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar". This success marks not only the commitment of the students, but also the high degree of preparation and qualification of the lecturers at the university.
