7th May Flower Festival
From 21 to 23 May, Saints Constantine and Helena resort, located near the town of Varna hosted the 7th May Flower Festival. Traditionally, the event is organized in partnership with Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar". Special guests at the opening ceremony were His Grace Bishop Yoan of Varna and Veliki Preslav, the Mayor of the Municipality of Varna, Ivan Portnih, the Regional Governor of Varna Region, Ivan Velikov, the President of Varna Free University, Prof. Dr. Sc. Anna Nedyalkova, representatives of diplomatic missions in the country, MPs and municipal councilors.
The festival opened with the artistic performance of the students from the Department of Arts at VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar". The programme included performances by the folklore ensemble and the ballet for contemporary choreography of the Academic Dance Theatre. Next came a fashion show by the students majoring in Fashion and Fashion Management.
