Fashion design students from Varna Free University take part in a fashion show at Vrana Palace

A fashion show under the auspices of Princess Kalina of Bulgaria took place on 12th June 2014, at Vrana Palace. Organizer of the event is the Women’s Liberal Network Association. Participants included Fashion design students from Varna Free University “Chernorizets Hrabar”, National Arts Academy, New Bulgarian University, South-West University Neofit Rilski and Krastyo Sarafov National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts.

Varna Free University was presented by 7 young designers majoring in Fashion and Fashion Management – 3rd-year students Mihaela Zheleva and Ina Kurteva, 4th-year students Yanka Boeva, Tatiana Todorova and Radostina Foteva and the graduates Svetozar Zhelev and Nevena Kostadinova. Their academic advisor is Assoc. Prof. Savka Kazalarska, who was proud to say that the Department of Fashion and Fashion Management celebrates its 20th anniversary this year.

Youth went along the catwalk in a unique show in Vrana Palace gardens. The young designers from Varna Free University demonstrated evening dress under the topics A Black and White Mirage, Metal, Baroque, Hussars, Whirlpool and The Golden Age. All models have been created as graduation theses, and won the ovation of connoisseurs.

The fashion show entertained the Royal family, the ambassadors of Spain, Morocco, Qatar, Lebanon and other VIP gueats.

“It has been a great pleasure to prepare this fashion show, and I believe that we have succeeded in bringing moments of beauty, sophistication and serenity in those stressful times we live in”, said the Chair of the Women’s Liberal Network Association Anelia Atanasova. Our young people are talented, and their professionalism and responsibility set a good example for politicians to follow, added the former National Movement for Stability and Progress Member of Parliament.
