Administration in support of governance, business and civil society
Two-day master class in Administration in Support of Governance, Business and Civil Society was held on 28 and September 29 at Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar". The event was headed by Prof. Allan Rosenbaum - President of the American Society for Public Administration, Director of the Institute of Public Management and CommunityServices at Florida International University and Chairperson of the International Commission of Accreditation of the Programs in Public Administration. It was attended by students and graduates of VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" as well as people working in the field of public administration, business and the NGO sector.
By means of interactive models Prof. Rosenbaum presented before the attendees of the forum topical issues related to the challenges and achievements of the new public management in governance and business, the role of civil society, decentralization and local government.
The participants in the forum had the opportunity to learn about the American practices in the implementation of administrative reforms. This forum with practical–and–applied focus aims to stimulate public discussion which to contribute to better interaction between the three sectors and to foster their partnership with educational institutions that prepare personnel for their needs.
