ECTS Label and DS Label, the prestigious labels for quality of the European Commission were awarded to Varna Free University at an official ceremony in Blagoevgrad. Prof. Valeri Stoyanov, PhD, Vice–Rector for Educational Affairs at VFU received the certificate on behalf of the university. He also presented the candidacy of the university and the benefits of the prestigious labels.
From15to17 October at the Universitycentre of Bachinovo in Blagoevgrad, the Centre for Human Resources Developmentheld a seminarfor training of thebeneficiaries under theErasmus+program,key activity1(KA1): "Mobility", "Higher Education"sectorandan information day dedicated tothe international dimensionof Erasmus + program.
The meeting was attended by 80 representatives of the Bulgarian universities awarded with the Charter for Higher Education "Erasmus". The participants were introduced to the rules related to the organization and administration of projects under KA1, "Higher Education" sector funded for academic year 2014/2015. The program included: practical training for the use of new software products made available by the European Commission and training for the preparation of the final reports for academic year 2013/2014.
The participants were provided with information about the international dimension of Erasmus + program and the opportunities for application in projects aimed at higher education for academic year 2015/2016. The opportunities that Erasmus + program provide for mobilities in the whole world were presented as well as the opportunities offered within Tempus program and the activities "Jean Monnet".
