Working meeting with head teachers from Montana

    A team of Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" held a working meeting with head teachers from Montana. The meeting took place on 28 November, 2014 in Conference Hall № 1 of the District Administration of Montana. The Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs, Prof. Valeri Stoyanov, PhD spoke to representatives of the regional inspectorate of education, and from secondary vocational and language schools in Montana. The event was hosted by the Vice District Governor, Mr Vladimir Teofilov.

    A survey among the students of all secondary schools in the region was conducted at the beginning of November. The main focus of the study is directed to the interest of young people to continue their education into higher education institutions and the specialties they would choose. The survey results indicate that 95 ℅ of the respondents would continue their education in Montana if such option existed. The specialties that arouse great interest are: Tourism, Informatics and Information Technologies, Architecture, Law, Psychology, Fashion and Fashion Management, National Security Protection.

    Varna Free University is ready to offer flexible training in Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs tailored to the needs of the inhabitants of the region, such as distance learning, said the Vice-Rector, Prof. Valeri Stoyanov, PhD.The preparation of a special information campaign is in progress. It aims to present the advantages of distance learning in order to stimulate young people to continue their education without having to leave the area they live in.
