The Department of Construction of Buildings and Facilities organizes a series of master classes dedicated to earthquake and fire safety. The first master class in the series entitled "Earthquakes do not kill people, buildings kill them. Let us learn to design and build safely" with lecturer Assoc. Prof. Daria Mihaleva, PhD, Eng. will be conducted on 22 January. 
Attendees of the master class will be students from the Vocational School of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy "Arch. Kamen Petkov", city of Plovdiv. In January, the master class will be held also in the vocational schools of architecture and construction in the towns of Pazardzhik, Haskovo, Stara Zagora and Burgas.
The program, dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the specialty Construction of Buildings and Facilities at Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" includes a series of master classes in fire safety of buildings with lecturer Assoc. Prof. Milena Kichekova, PhD, Eng - Head of the Department of Construction of Buildings and Facilities.Attendees at the master classes will be students from the vocational schools in construction across the country.
The programme for the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the specialty includes also a lot of meetings and joint projects of students, lecturers and representatives of the construction industry.
