Varna Free University “Chernorizets Hrabar” hosted a partner meeting under the two-year project "Bread Intern", in which the university is a partner organisation. The meeting took place on 21st and 22nd January 2015.
The project is co-funded under the Lifelong Learning programme, sector programme "Leonardo da Vinci", Transfer of Innovation, and amounts to € 246 870,00.
The leading organisation under the project is the Romanian Employers’ League of the Milling, Bakery and Flour Based Products Industry – ROMPAN, in partnership with the Institute for Integrated Learning in Spain, the National Research &Development Institute for Food Bio-Resources, Romania and the Ataturk Technical and Industrial Vocational High School- ATEML, Turkey.
The objectives of the project are to bring to the fore the problems which students from vocational and technical schools in the milling and bakery industry need to overcome in order to stay at school, to identify the employment opportunities which this industry offers, and to boost the interest of learners in this professional sphere.
Participants in the meeting discussed two competitions entitled “Youngsters and the Milling and Bakery Industry”, which will take place in Romania and Turkey. Another discussion topic was the opportunities for practical training of students, which will aim to familiarize them with the work of the companies in the industry.
