The President of Varna Free University “Chernorizets Hrabar”, Prof. DSc Anna Nedyalkova, and the Vice Governor of Montana, Ms Nina Petrova, have signed a memorandum of educational and research cooperation.
During the working visit, representatives of the regional administration and the MP from the 12th Montana constituency Ms Desislava Atanasova and the university management discussed the opportunities for cooperation between the two institutions in the fields of intelligent specialization, innovation and the flexible lifelong learning models.
The meeting outlined the direction for future research and educational projects which meet the demand of the north-west region.
The guests expressed their satisfaction with the discussions and the high level of the university’s work on various research projects, its partnerships at national and international level, as well as the high quality education provided here.
A specially designed advertising campaign is under way, which aims to encourage the young people in the Montana region to continue their education without leaving their home places, and to offer an opportunity for career development which matches the potential of one of the poorest regions in the country.
