Master class Business Angels starts on 7th February at Varna Free University

A master class entitled Business Angels started on 7th February at Varna Free University “Chernorizets Hrabar”. The lectures are Eli Miron, PhD, and Gilad Ravid PhD from Ben-Gurion University in Israel.

The participants in the master class will learn about business angels as one of the alternative forms of business funding.

The alternative forms of business funding, including business angels and online business or project funding communities, are presently gaining increasing popularity.

Access to fresh capital proves to be a major problem, especially in view of the present-day financial difficulties. Loan taking is becoming increasingly difficult and poses risks, while interest rates additionally make matters worse. This is where business angels step in with their expertise, money and willingness to invest. Of course, they do that under certain conditions. Business angels are investors who invest capital in other peoples’ business in return for a certain share of the business. And sometimes their involvement proves vital. The number of active business angels in Bulgaria is growing, and anyone with an innovative idea has a chance…

The two lecturers are familiar to the Varna audience from the previous master classes they have led – Gamification and Crowdsourcing and Knowledge Management and Social Network Tools for Business.

The two-day master class Business Angels – Knowledge Entrepreneurship and Crowdfunding Business Start-ups" starts on 7th February 2015 at 10:00 in Room 2 of the Educational and Sports Complex of the university.
