At a meeting in Brussels hold on 3 March 2015, attended by representatives of the leading European universities and research institutions, Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" was awarded for the second time the prestigious logo for human resources.
The forum, organized by the European Commission was dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for their selection. The participants at the meeting among whom the Vice-Rector for Research of Varna Free University, Prof. Pavel Pavlov, PhD and the Head of the Department of International Activities and Projects, Blagoy Klimov, PhD, discussed the impact and benefits of the implementation of the strategy for human resources for researchers. The representatives of research institutions in Europe commented the opportunities for the development of a strong institutional environment and policies for career development of researchers.

The strategic orientation of Varna Free University is directly related to the development of applied research and innovation in close partnership with the business. We recognized the need to develop the research potential of the university long ago and re-awarding us with the logo of human resources is a serious attestation for what we have made ", said after the ceremony the Vice-Rector for Research, Prof. Pavel Pavlov, PhD .
The European Commission awards the logo for human resources (HR Excellence in Research logo) to universities, research organizations and funding organizations that implement the principles enshrined in the European Charter for Researchers and the Code for the recruitment of researchers. It is a sign of legitimating of research freedom, professional responsibility for recruitment of staff, international recognition of their qualifications, community involvement and commitment to research topics and projects with the business sector and the interests of local communities.
