From 22 to 26 April, Casablanca hosted the largest International Student Fair for the entire African continent. The forum was attended by educational institutions from 25 countries, including Morocco, Turkey, UAE, Egypt, Lebanon, France, Spain, Cyprus, Switzerland, Greece, Russia, USA, Canada, UK and others. The visitors attracted by the forum exceeded 10,000. The student exhibition was held under the auspices of the King of Morocco, Mohammed VI. Among the guests were ministers, ambassadors, university presidents and heads of multinational companies.
Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" was the only Bulgarian university, presented at the exhibition. The interest of the visitors was attracted by the prestigious European ECTS-label and DS-label, which Varna Free University is awarded with, as well as by the mobility and practical training in a wide range of Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree and Doctoral degree programs.
The presence and the initiatives of Varna Free University were fully supported by the Bulgarian embassy in the African country. During the visit, the President of Varna Free University, Prof. Anna Nedyalkova, D.Sc. met with the Honourable Ambassador of Bulgaria to the Kingdom of Morocco, Mrs Boryana Simeonova and the Head of the Office of Trade and Economic Affairs in Casablanca - Mr Radi Domuschiev.
During the event, the President of the University held a series of workshops to establish permanent presence of Varna Free University in the educational system in Africa. There are expectations that in academic year 2015/2016 the first students from Africa will join the students of Varna Free University.
