Law students from Varna Free University win another prize in an interuniversity case studies competition

A team from Varna Free University won second place in the Fifth Interuniversity Case Studies Competition in Civil Law, organised by the Legal Science Centre of Burgas Free University. A total of ten teams took part in the competition, which was held on 9th May in Burgas. The teams were representatives of the faculties of Law of Sofia University “St. Climent Ohridski”, Burgas Free University, Veliko Tarnovo University “St. St. Cyril and Methodius”, Ruse University “Angel Kanchev” Plovdiv University “Paisii Hilendarski” and Varna Free University “Chernorizets Hrabar”.

The jury, consisting of six members, included lecturers and legal practitioners from the relevant faculties.

 

Varna Free University was represented by two teams, supervised by Asst. Maria P. Petrova, a lecturer at the Faculty of Law.

Team I – Simona Shangova, 5th year, Plamena Nankova, 4th year, Kristina Filipova, 4th year.

Team II – Ivanela Hristova, 4th year, Ilia Iliev, 4th year, Danisa Isaeva, 3rd year, Teodora Ivanova, 3rd year.

The second place was won by VFU Team I and shared with one of the Ruse University teams. The first prize went to one of the Sofia University teams.

 

 

The certificates of attendance were awarded by the Chair of the jury prof. Silvi Chernev, PhD.

The jury’s global assessment of the preparation and performance of the students from Varna Free University was very high.
