The President of Varna Free University was among the official guests at the opening of the summer tourist season in the resort of St. Konstantin and St Elena
On the day of the Holy Apostles Konstantin and Elena, the eponymous resort near Varna opened the tourist season. Traditionally, the beginning of the tourist summer coincided with the traditional May Flower Festival whose co-organizer is Varna Free University "Cherorizets Hrabar".
The President of Varna Free University, Prof. Anna Nedyalkova, D.Sc. thanked the management of the resort for the long-term and fruitful partnership and stressed its importance in regard to the training of personnel for the tourism industry.
The festival was opened by the executive directors of St Konstantin and St Elena - Holding AD - Elena Koseva and Ivelina Kancheva – Shaban. Among the official guests were also the Metropolitan bishop of Varna and Veliki Preslav Yoan, the regional governor Stoyan Pasev, Zhivko Tabakov - Advisor to the Minister of Tourism, Dimitar Margaritov - President of the CommissionforConsumer Protection, His Excellency Hassan Barmaui, Honorary Consul of the Kingdom of Jordan in Bulgaria.
"I hope that with joint efforts we will manage to overcome the challenges that await us and the bad situation will not affect the final outcome of the season. I wish you all a fruitful and smooth summer," said in his address the mayor of Varna Ivan Portnih. The opening of the tourist season ended with a performance of the Academic Dance Theatre of Varna Free University.
