Varna Free University with yet another recognition on the eve of 24 May
Varna grand award, 10 Varna awards to artists and creative formations, 9 Varna awards in the system of pre-school and school education and 6 Varna awards in the field of science and higher education as well as the badges of honour for contributions to Varna were presented on the eve of 24 May by the Mayor of Varna Ivan Portnih and the Chairman of the City Council Ivan Lukov.
The official ceremony, which was held in the Plenary Hall of Varna Municipality building, was attended by the President of Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar", Prof. Anna Nedyalkova, D.Sc., the Rector of the University, Prof. Galya Gercheva, D.Sc., the Vice- Rectors, Prof. Pavel Pavlov, PhD and Prof. Valeri Stoyanov, PhD, the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Prof. Petar Hristov, PhD, faculty and students.
In the category of Social Sciences, the individual award was presented to Prof. Orlin Borisov, D.Sc., lecturer at Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" - for publishing the monograph entitled "International Legal Regime of the Black Sea".
The award ceremony ended with yet recognition for the achievements of Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar".
On the stage of the overcrowded Plenary Hall, the following students received certificates of acknowledgement: Simona Shangova, Plamena Nankova and Kristina Filipova – majoring in Law at Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" - for first place taken in the team ranking in the National Competition for solving case studies in civil and commercial law.
