Varna Free University will teach Political Sciences to Bachelor students in the new academic year

    In academic year 2015/2016, Varna Free University will launch again the specialty in Political Sciences.  

    The specialty was first introduced in Bulgaria in the 1980s. The dynamics of the political processes has maintained the interest in this specialty and registered its increased demand in recent years. Guided by its mission to meet the needs of young people and to create opportunities for building up leaders and people with manifested social and civic position, in the new academic year, Varna Free University will launch the specialty in Political Sciences, educational and qualification degree "Bachelor".

    This specialty builds up specialists with interdisciplinary profile for work in the field of political sciences, foreign policy, public institutions, organizations and political parties. The studies offer the students a set of knowledge and skills with political, economic, managerial and humanitarian features. It includes courses related to modern information technology and study of two foreign languages.

    This program enables young people to gain serious political preparation and build up high administrative and legal culture.     The training covers a wide range of issues related to the political parties and party systems, Bulgarian politics, political theory, international relations and security issues. The academic staff includes familiar names such as Prof. Nina Dyulgerova, D.Sc., the expert in Arabic Studies, Prof. Vladimir Chukov, D.Sc., experts of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, representatives of NGOs and political parties.

    Those wishing to study Political Sciences have to take a written admission examination - an essay on a socially significant topic or to participate in the online essay competition of VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar".     For successfully passed admission examination will be recognized the grades from the state matriculation examinations taken in the period  2008-2015, the grades of admission examinations sat at other universities, language and computer skills certificates, as well as the results of national and international competitions and olympiads.
