The 7th International Summer Qualification School in teaching Russian starts at Varna Free University
The Seventh International Summer Qualification School for modern pedagogical technologies in teaching Russian as a foreign language will start on 17 August, 2015 at Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar". The event is held under an international project with the joint participation of the university and Russkiy Mir Foundation. For the seventh consecutive year the fund supports the efforts of Varna Free University, aimed at improving the methodological training of young people on the threshold of their career as teachers of Russian.
This significant event in the calendar of the scientific forums of the city held with the support of the Municipality of Varna, Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Varna, the Russian Cultural and Information Centre in Sofia, St. Petersburg State University and the National Publishing House for Education and Science "Az Buki" affiliated to the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Bulgaria.
By tradition, the interest of young people to the forum is great. This year, the Summer Qualification School will involve representatives of 11 universities from Russia, Serbia, Belarus, Romania, Latvia, Kyrgyzstan, Poland and Bulgaria. Within five days, Varna Free University will turn into a centre of the Russian language and culture for students and teachers from Europe and Asia.
The modern methods and technologies in teaching the Russian language and personal oriented approach are the focus of the agenda of the Seventh International Summer Qualification School. The agenda includes lectures, round table discussions and master classes with the participation of professors from the Institute of the Russian language and culture of St. Petersburg State University, the Herzen State Pedagogical University and outstanding Bulgarian specialists.
