The President of Varna Free University, Prof. Anna Nedyalkova, D.Sc. was a special guest at the feast of the Municipality of Madan
The Mayor of Madan, Fahri Molaysenov and the President of the Municipal Council in Madan, Behchet Sirakov welcomed to the stage for the official opening of the Festival of Madan and the Miner the Minister of Power Engineering – Temenuzhka Petkova, Zhecho Stankov – Vice Minister of Power Engineering, the MEP Vladimir Uruchev and the MPs, Daniela Daritkova, PhD, Dora Yankova and Mustafa Karadaya, the governor Nedyalko Slavov. Special guest of 
the festival was Prof. Anna Nedyalkova, D.Sc. - President of Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar". The celebration was attended by Prof. Lyuben Totev, PhD - Rector of the University of Mining and Geology "St. Ivan Rilski", Shaban Chabuk – Mayor of the twin municipality of Iksanie and the Mayor of Rudozem - Rumen Pehlivanov.
The following people were welcomed on the stage as hosts - Prof. Nikolay Valkanov, D.Sc. - Chairman of the Supervisory Board of GORUBSO - Madan and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of "KCM 2000" AD, Assoc. Prof. Nikola Dobrev, PhD as well as the CEO of GORUBSO - Sergei Atanasov, Eng.. The Mayor of Madan, Fahri Molaysenov congratulated all former and current workers in the mining industry for the courage and bravery, as well as the concessioners,who invested in the mining industry, and saved the main livelihood of the municipality and prevented the collapse of GORUBSO.
"For me as a mayor of the municipality is particularly important that for a fourth consecutive year we are together, together in the emotion and the mood of the holiday, also together in the work we do for the good and prosperity of our municipality. We all wonder how in bad and in good weather we go to the streets – thousands of us and always together. Thank you for being here today. All of us who are born, who live and work in Madan, we carry in our hearts the special and nice sense of connectivity and nothing can take it from us. " said in his speech Fahri Molaysenov.
Because of the successful joint work of the municipality of Madan and Varna Free University, the festival was also attended by Prof.Anna Nedyalkova, D.Sc. in her capacity as a special guest. She said: "It is our privilege to be here. And I want to tell you that the European future will be created by this human capital which is the most precious wealth of Madan, the Rhodope Mountains, Bulgaria. Thank you for having you. We are proud of the fact that we work in the region as a university and we have more than 250 graduates from your town who hold important positions and we are so proud of them. Here are the representatives of two universities who can tell you – the intelligent future belongs to you! Therefore we are ready to help you gain that knowledge, qualification which will give you the opportunity and the money of Europe to use both what is in the earth’s womb and in your hearts and minds!"
