National Competition in data mining brings together the best students in Varna

24 September 2015

Until September 25, 2015, the recruitment of participants and mentors in the QUERYADA national competition continues. The event will provide an opportunity for schoolchildren and students from across the country to demonstrate their knowledge and skills in the field of data mining. The competition is held in partnership with: OracleAcademy, ADASTRA, OntotextiAltScale and is supported by the regional education inspectorates in Varna and Sofia, the Association of Information Technologies, Bulgarian Web Association and ICT Cluster-Bulgaria.

The event focuses on the importance of the development of information technologies in education. Its aim is to increase the interest of young people to the IT sector, to motivate the work with non-relational and semantic databases and to connect people working in this field with students in the fastest way.

The idea for the meeting originated several years ago because of the need to extend the performances of students in response to the challenge of a growing number of professions and the need for specialists in the IT industry.

According to forecasts, in the coming years there will be an increase in the demand by the business to experts employed in the following occupations: database administrators, data analysts, data viewers, data integrators and others.     Initiator, organizer and host of the event is Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar". All participants will receive certificates and the winners will be awarded and registered in the national ranking list.

The regulation and conditions for participation in the QUERYADA national competition in data mining are available on the official website: http://queryada.com/
