Over 2,200 first-year students begin their studies at Varna Free University during 2015-2016 academic year. The solemn opening ceremony of the new academic year at Varna Free University was attended by the regional governor Stoyan Pasev, the interim mayor of Varna, Peycho Peychev, the director of the Municipal Directorate "Education and Youth Activities", Lilia Hristova, the Consul of the Russian Federation in Varna, Galina Petrovskaya, the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Indonesia, Krasimir Simov, the Honorary Consul of the Republic of South Africa, Rumen Ganchev. Special guests at the ceremony were Prof. Abdellatif Irhzo - Vice-President of the largest university in Morocco "Hassan II", Prof. Mohammed Tahiri - Chairman of "Innovations" at the abovementioned university.

Only this way we can do our duty to ourselves and our people, bringing forward in time values and virtues bequeathed to us by our patron Chernorizets Hrabar, because these virtues give birth to the greatest gifts to which we aspire - prosperity, freedom and perfection," said in her solemn address, the President of Varna Free University" Chernorizets Hrabar", Prof. Anna Nedyalkova, D.Sc.
She pointed out her pride in the fact that the university is a respected partner to more than 100 universities in all parts of the world. "35,000 are our graduates who work in prestigious places in different areas - culture, psychology, as well as the justice system, administration, economics, management and security, said Prof. Nedyalkova.
