A delegation of the Chinese Sanda University, Shanghai visited Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" on 10 November, 2015. The Chinese delegation included: the Vice President of Sanda University - Dhzia Kiaoping, PhD; the Dean of the Faculty of Information Science and Technology - Prof. Ksu Ziven; the Dean of the Faculty of General Education - Prof. Dzhing Dzhilang and Ms Yu Miao - Advisor at the Department of International Exchange and Cooperation.

The Chinese guests were received by the Vice President of Varna Free University - Assoc. Prof. Krasimir Nedyalkov, the Rector of the University - Prof. Galya Gercheva, D.Sc. and the Vice-Rectors - Prof. Pavel Pavlov, PhD, Prof. Valeri Stoyanov, PhD and Prof. Teodora Bakardzhieva, PhD. In January 2014, the two universities signed a three-year Memorandum of cooperation, which included joint participation in international projects, development of joint educational degree and further training programs and exchanges of scientists, students, and academic information and resources.

Sanda University in Shanghai is a private university, founded in 1992. Currently it has 510 lecturers and nearly 12,000 students. The higher school offers educational products covering eight main areas - economics, legal sciences, literature, natural sciences, engineering, medicine, management and arts, in which a total of 25 Bachelor’s degree programs are offered.

The memorandum with the Chinese University is just one of the international dimensions of the university activities. The implementation of successful academic partnerships is part of the internationalization strategy of Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" and is one of the most successful models for creating internationally convertible educational product.
In June 2014 representatives of the Sanda University in Shanghai visited Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar".
The program of this year's visit of the guests from Sanda University included tour of the university campus and work meetings with the academic management of Varna Free University.
Among the discussed topics were those of deepening the cooperation in offering Master’s degree programs with transitional bridge-semester for the programs International Project Management, Psychology, Business Administration and Cyber security and software engineering.

The guests from China expressed the hope that Varna Free University will share its experience and best practices in the acquisition of ECTS logo for the implementation of the European credit transfer and accumulation system. The representatives of the two countries discussed the possibilities for implementation of placements and internships for students from Varna Free University in business structures in Shanghai. Both universities will launch joint video courses in the field of software technology and intercultural communications and characteristic features of the business sector in China.
