The Week of Architecture is a joint project of lecturers of the Faculty of Architecture and the Student Council of Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar". It will be held from 23 to 29 November, 2015. The theme of the event is "THE HISTORY OF ARCHITECTURE AND PRESERVATION OF CULTURAL HERITAGE." Besides classes, the project also provides for field observations of objects in the historic part of the city. The program includes lectures dedicated to the origin and history of the city through various epochs, a photo contest called "Varna Through the Centuries", presentation of outstanding diploma theses from the last graduation session, field tours with lectures in theneighbourhood of Odesos. The program includes a three-day seminar entitled "RÖFIX Products" related to the use of modern natural materials in the restoration of immovable cultural heritage.
The Friday day of the Week of Architecture includes themed cooking show of Chef Stefan Stefanov in the university renovated restaurant, RÖFIX product demonstrations and training in their implementation on a real monument. The Week of Architecture will conclude with practical classes, awarding of the winners and presenting certificates to the participants. The event was organized with the kind assistance of the RÖFIX Company, dontDIY Studio, BON MARINE Holding and with the invaluable support of the municipality of Varna in the person of the chief architect Victor Buzev. The Week of Architecture is held under the patronage of the President of Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" - Prof. Anna Nedyalkova, D.Sc. and is dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the foundation of the university.
