80 graduates received their diplomas in the branch of Varna Free University in Smolyan

    80 graduates of the branch of VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" in Smolyan received their diplomas at a ceremony in the Bulgaria hall. They were handed by the Deputy Regional Governor of Smolyan, Zarko Marinov and Prof. Venelin Kafedzhiev. The graduates were welcomed with bread and honey at the entrance. 

 

 

    The celebration was opened in Rodopian style with performances of "Izlel e Delyu haidutin" and "Bela sam, bela, yunache" with bagpipe accompaniment.

 

 

    The ceremony was attended by the President of VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" and an honorary citizen of Smolyan, Prof. Anna Nedyalkova, D.Sc, the deputies Daniela Daritkova and Dora Yankova, the Mayor of Smolyan - Nikolay Melemov, the Mayor of the Municipality of Rudozem - Rumen Pehlivanov, the  Mayor of the Municipality of  Sarnitsa - Nebi Bozov, the Deputy Regional Governor of Smolyan, Zarko Marinov, many representatives of institutions from the district town.

 

 

    "There is no more exciting holiday in the academic calendar than the graduation day of our students. I have the great honour and duty to congratulate you on behalf of the academic community of Varna Free University. The diploma can be just a piece of paper, but it also can be that thing that obliges us to pursue career in our new life in the intellectual community of our country. You graduate in difficult times, but let accept them as a challenge. Above all, be yourself, rely on yourself, rely on knowledge as the new lever to achieve new heights of success. Do not wait for someone to offer you a job, to ensure you development, to offer you a career.  Make surethat you are the desired and preferred by the employer.

    Do not wait for someone to offer you a good salary, a lot of money, great opportunities for a good life. Live so that you can provide yourselves and the others with what they need. The new diploma obliges you to have such insight and responsibility for all ", said in her speech Prof. Anna Nedyalkova.

"Today begins a new stage in your life in which each of you climbs higher on the infinite ladder to knowledge. Today, each of youtakeson their ownlife path, but I hope that you will always turn to look back here, in our classrooms where you have left a piece of yourselves. Go with a smile turned to the bright future, where the bravest have a reserved place. Never forget that in order to succeed, you have to fight a lot, and to grow wise – you should not be afraid to make a mistake, " said in her address to the graduates Anelia Parzhanova, PhD, Director of the branch in Smolyan.

    The MP Dr Daniela Daritkova, PhD wished the graduates to remember and fulfill their dreams and said that on this day she celebrated the 25th anniversary of her graduation from the Medical University in Plovdiv. "This is a moment that is remembered forever in life. I know you have learned all the complicated terms and all the knowledge that your lecturers with their energy have been able to offer. But the most important thing is to be good people, to have learned the lessons of life – that it is more important to give rather than take. So that in this complex world in which we live now, to be able to keep these European and worldly values ​​that will preserve us as a people.  So that Bulgaria and Europebe forever - thanks to your efforts. To enable our children to enjoy and live here in Bulgaria, " said Dr Daritkova, wishing them luck.

 

     "One stage of your life ended, one stage of your education. I want to wish you to benefit from what you have learned. To be happy and to help each other in life. Your families to support you. I sincerely wish you the work you will do to be for the reviving of the Rhodope Mountains - wherever you work. Strive to achieve self-fulfillment and self-esteem. Be proud Bulgarians. I hope that what you have obtained here, in the Rhodope Mountains, to give you power over the years - that energy of the magic of the mountain, of the Rhodope soul, of the humane and the mutual aid which are characteristic of the way of life here," addressed the young people the MP Dora Yankova.

    The Mayor of Smolyan, Nikolay Melemov called on the graduates to be active and to have the will to implement what they have learned. "I wish you all good luck both on a personal level and in the professional life", wished the Mayor.     "Human beings seek to build their potential so large that make it possible to give everything needed to their generation, to the future, to our children. I wish you to be courageous and strong, do not give up if you encounter difficulties in the first years. I wish you to stay in your homeland, to work for the economic development of our country. Because we all want to have a strong Bulgaria in united Europe, but that can only happen with the efforts of all of us, especially the young generation, "said Zarko Marinov, Deputy Regional Governor after he officially handed the diplomas to the best students.

 

 

    Elena Stoichevaon behalf of the graduating students addressed the lecturers. "Here, every one of us developed themselves not only as a specialist but also as a person. Here, we have obtained not only knowledge but also valuable practical experience. We have mixed feelings, a little fear of the future, excitement, safety provided by the obtained knowledgeand confidence that we can cope with the challenges that lie ahead, "said the graduate as she thanked the lecturers on behalf of her colleagues.
