A record number of students applied for theStudent of the Year Award 2015
in the 9th edition of the event. This year's competition was held under the patronage of the Minister of Education and Science - Prof. Todor Tanev. The national Student of the Year Award was established in the beginning of 2006 at the initiative of the delegates at the General Assembly of theNational Student Councils Representationin the Republic of Bulgaria. The competition has the mission to promote the achievements of the Bulgarian students to the Bulgarian public, honouring students from all fields of higher education. The students of Varna Free University, Polina Ivanova and Kristina Hristova are among the most successful students in Bulgaria.
Polina Ivanova, a fifth-year student majoring in Law at Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" won the national award of theNational Student Councils Representationand the Ministry of Education, Student of the Year Award 2015 for achievements in the area of LEGAL SCIENCE.

KRISTINA HRISTOVA, second-year student majoring in Choreography - Contemporary Dance Theatre at Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" won the national award ofthe National Student Councils Representation and the Ministry of Education, Student of the Year Award 2015 for achievements in the area of ART. Kristina is a laureate of the scholarship program of Varna Free University "I will learn and succeed in Bulgaria 2014"
