Open Doors Days
Students of "Prof. Dr. Zlatarov" Vocational School of Tourism visited Varna Free University within the framework of the Open Doors Days organized by the university.
Three classes of secondary school visited the facilities of the university: the library, the Institute of Technology, Maxima lecture hall, the central foyer with the architectural exhibitions, the "Students" and "Graduation" sectors, the front office of the university, the Admissions Centre and the Russian Centre.
The students had the opportunity to talk with lecturers, students and representatives of the Admissions Centre. In the conference hall of the Russian Centre they were acquainted with the specialties and the terms and conditions for participation in the scholarship program of Varna Free University "I will Learn and Succeed in Bulgaria," which for the eighth consecutive year enables graduates with honours to apply for a scholarship covering 100% of the training fee in the first year of their chosen specialty, and some of them have already decided on their future education.
The students were particularly active and asked many questions. They showed interest in the university sports teams and scholarships for excellence in education, science, art and sport. The meetings were implemented with the cooperation of the Director of the Vocational School of Tourism – Ms Gergana Yapadzhieva.
The visits of secondary school students in Varna and the meetings of the team of Varna Free University in secondary schools in the country continue. The initiative "Days of Varna Free University in the regions" will enable students from Silistra, Ruse, Razgrad, Dobrich, Targovishte and Veliko Tarnovo to learn about the opportunities that the university offers and to get information about the exported centres for career counseling and admissions.
