"Chernorizets Hrabar" VFU announces admissions by professional areas

For the academic year 2018/2019, Varna Free University announces admissions by professional areas. The training will go through two levels - basic and profiling. The basic level includes main courses of the professional area. After the basic training, students will have the opportunity to choose profiling training by specialties.
The advantages of this kind of training are related to the time we provide our students with to get oriented and to think over their education in the particular specialty. The first two years are introductory and give general theoretical training that every young person needs in order to make the right choices and to make a successful start of their professional development, said Prof. Valeri Stoyanov, D.Sc., Vice–Rector for Educational Affairs of Varna Free University.
According to him, the young people in Bulgaria are overloaded with dissimilar information and not everyone is able to make the right choice for themselves immediately after completing their secondary education. Admissions by professional areas create many opportunities for students to do what we call "informed choice," Prof. Stoyanov is definite. Surveys conducted at the university point out to the need for professionals with an integrated profile - professionals who combine more than one functionality and possess more than the standard skills required for a position. One way to achieve this is the admissions by professional areas. What is more, the dynamically developing environment brings new professions into the forefront, and with the slogan "Professions for the Future", Varna Free University has set itself the ambitious goal of following the needs of the market and proposing what business is currently in need of. We strive to train employees for the employers, that is why we are in constant dialogue with them.
During their studies, the students can also get a rich portfolio of certificates for acquired additional qualification and language competences through the master classes organized at the university, specialized courses, team work with leading experts from the practice.
The admissions for specialties of the state-regulated professions and the specialties with training conducted in a foreign language will be implemented by a specialty.
