11 student teams from the leading vocational high schools in architecture, construction and geodesy in the country took part in the competition. Varna was represented by three teams, Sofia and Burgas with two each, and Veliko Tarnovo, Plovdiv, Shumen - with one each. For the first time, a team from the Vocational High School in Woodworking and Construction "Tsar Ivan Asen II" from Haskovo took part in the competition. Each of the teams had a mentor - a student majoring in Construction of Buildings and Facilities at Varna Free University. The 11 graduates from VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" are third and fourth year-students and will help the teams.
The teams showed knowledge and strength in creating movable bridges, and this time their task was further complicated, since the participants did not know in advance what the set distance between the piers of the bridge was. They had to match the structure on site and build the structure from two packages of spaghetti, polypropylene joints and rope, silicone sticks and guns for it, protractor, ruler, box cutter knife.
