Angel Hristov – a graduate from
Department of Law at Varna Free University “Chernorizets Hrabar”, has taken up the position of junior investigator in the District Investigation Department at the District Prosecutor’s Office – Veliko Tarnovo.
The ceremony of presenting the acts of entry took place in the presence of the investigators from the department. The Administrative Head – District Prosecutor of the District Prosecutor’s Office – Veliko Tarnovo, Hristo Hristov, wished the newly appointed junior investigators Angel Hristov and Vladislav Kamenov success and professional recognition.
The appointments are in accordance with a decision of the Prosecutorial College of the Supreme Judicial Council (Record No. 22/25.06.2025), after winning a competition and successfully completing the training at the National Institute of Justice.
After graduating from Varna Free University, Angel Hristov has nearly ten years of experience as an investigative police officer – initially in the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of the Interior - Burgas, and then in 5th Regional Police Department – Sofia and in the Sofia Directorate of Ministry of the Interior. His consistent professional path proves his dedication to work in the criminal law system.
His colleague Vladislav Kamenov graduated from Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”. Before starting his studies at The National Institute of Justice (NIJ), in the period 2023 – 2024, he was a judicial assistant at the Court of Appeal – Sofia.
The Law major at Varna Free University holds second place in the country according to the National Rating System for 2024. The data show a high realization of the graduates – over half work as civil servants, and a significant part of them in the judicial system. VFU “Chernorizets Hrabar” is among the key universities in the country in terms of the number of candidates for junior magistrates, according to the statistics of the National Institute of Justice.
