A GREAT FINAL FOR THE CYBER MAGICIANS PROJECT
The final presentation of the cyber magicians' projects to their parents took place today at the Youth Center - Varna. The last two groups of school students from Varna presented their developments on cyber security and safety in a digital environment. The children showed a recycled glowing-eyed robot made of plastic bottles, a board game, a design of a cyber magician's cardboard room, games and comics in the Scratch program and various coding and color presentations.
For eight weeks, 120 school students from Varna from 17 schools were trained under the guidance of lecturers and students from the department.
"The project Cyber magicians aims to develop children's skills in the field of computer science, mathematics, the arts and, above all, the safe and secure use of the digital environment," said Assoc. Prof. Dr. Galina Momcheva, head of the Department of Informatics at Varna Free university who was responsible for the training.
The training is provided by the Directorate "Education and Youth Activities" at Varna Municipality and Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar". It is in implementation of the Program for stimulating activities and performances of school students from schools in the municipality.
