A student from Varna Free University will participate in the international CultArt Academy in Skopje

The student Ksenia Urekina, a freshman majoring in Graphic Design, is taking part in the CultArt Academy in Skopje, Republic of North Macedonia, next week.The programme focuses on photography and cultural management, bringing together young artists from different European countries. Ksenia’s participation is a recognition of both her talent and commitment, as well as the high level of education that Varna Free University offers in the field of visual arts.
“Photography has been an integral part of my life for four years. Street photography has given me the freedom to capture spontaneous moments and unexpected stories hidden in urban dynamics,” said Ksenia.
For her, photography is not just a hobby or a visual art – it is a way of telling stories and discovering beauty in the details of everyday life. Her frequent travels give her the opportunity to see the cities through the lens – not just as a tourist, but as a careful observer.
Her acceptance into the international programme is a new step towards creative development and professional growth. In Skopje, she will have the opportunity to exchange ideas with other artists, master new approaches in photography and cultural management, and enrich her artistic style.
CultArt Academy is an international educational programme, made at the initiative of the Plovdiv 2019 Foundation and funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union. The project brings together partners from five European countries – Bulgaria, Italy, Austria, Hungary, and North Macedonia – with the aim of supporting young artists in the field of cultural management. The programme combines training, practical experience, and international exchange, and offers an innovative approach to the connection between culture, art, and entrepreneurship.

Until her departure, Ksenya will be the official photographer of the National Competition for Criminal Law, which is held at the university!
