28 November 2023

Our student Polina Galinova, who is majoring in Psychology, won a bronze medal at the World Kickboxing Championship in Portugal!

Polina faced the world's best in the women's 56kg K-1 style at the World Kickboxing Championships in Albufeira, Portugal. On the road to success, Polina showed exceptional skill, defeating Destenny Taylor from the USA 3-0 votes and Mihaela Kerlechkova from the Czech Republic in the eight-final and the quarterfinal. We kept our fingers crossed for her as she faced the strong rival Zehra Aslan from Turkey in the semi-finals.

This success is a well-deserved contribution to the sporting pride and distinction of our university. Polina, thank you for the inspiration and for presenting Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" in such a great way!
