Future lawyers, students of Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar", will undergo their practical training with mentors – judges
. Within 240 astronomical hours, students will solve legal cases, attend open court sessions, and have the opportunity to observe the assignment of cases, reports the press service of the Administrative Court.
Expected outcomes of the internship include building on their theoretical knowledge of administrative acts with practical insights into the work of administrative bodies and judicial oversight, improving practical skills regarding the right to compensation for damages caused by unlawful acts, actions, or inactions of the administration, and gaining experience with the judicial procedures related to such cases. Students will also strengthen their competencies in applying the provisions concerning claims procedures under the Administrative Procedure Code (APC) and acquire skills to analyze and apply the provisions of the Law on Administrative Violations and Sanctions (LAVS) to real-world situations.
The initiative “From Higher Education to Employment" is a project by the Ministry of Education and Science and includes over 370 training organizations. Its goals include improving students' practical skills in line with labour market demands, strengthening ties between universities and employers, enhancing the effectiveness of their partnerships, etc.
The project "Student Internships – From Higher Education to Employment" provides an opportunity for 1,640 students from Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" to gain valuable hands-on experience in a real working environment as part of their academic training. The aim is to ease the transition from university to the labour market, encourage collaboration between universities and employers, and create sustainable mechanisms for the professional realization of young people.
All active students of Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar", listed in the Register of Active and Interrupted Students and Doctoral Candidates of the Ministry of Education and Science (MES), are eligible to participate. Semester graduates who have not yet taken their final state exam may also join. A student can participate once for each educational qualification degree in a given specialty, and in certain cases (e.g. for "master’s degree" after secondary education) – up to two times.
