AN INTERNATIONAL PROJECT ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF A FINANCIAL LITERACY PROGRAMME HAS STARTED

The first partnership meeting under the project Financial Literacy for the Economic Development of the Society No. 2022-1-BG01-KA220-SCH-000087865 was held at Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" on May 29-31, 2023. Universities and educational institutions from Bulgaria, Turkey, Greece, Ireland and Finland participate in the international project.
VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" is the leading organization in the implementation of the project and coordinates the activities on the development of a financial literacy training programme, the establishment of a platform for training resources and partnerships with educational institutions.
The lecturers from the Department of Economics, who participate in the project, discussed the methodological approaches in the development of educational resources and defined the parameters of a successful partnership in the implementation of the planned activities and the commitments of the participants.
The activities in the project continue the traditional studies and organization of scientific forums in the Faculty of International Economy and Administration for the development of financial literacy among university students. The lecturers from the faculty assist the students in meeting the challenges of the digitization of the economy and the need to develop specific knowledge to support young people in the modern financial system. The implementation of the project will expand educational approaches and resources for training young people and will support the qualification of teachers in the development of financial literacy.
