Assoc. Prof. Dr. Valentin Nedev, an outstanding scientist, lecturer and person, has passed away

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Valentin Nedev – a respected scientist, long-time lecturer in forensics at Varna Free University “Chernorizets Hrabar”, Rector of the Academy of the Ministry of Interior (1993-1995), member of the State Securities Commission (2001-2003), Secretary General of the Court of Auditors (1996-2001) and holder of the Honorary Badge of the Ministry of Interior.

Assoc. Prof. Nedev was an exceptional professional, an example of morality, integrity and nobility, a beloved and respected colleague, whose big heart and kind character will remain forever in our memories. He left a significant mark in the academic community and in generations of graduates of the Faculty of Law.

Thank you, Valio, for your dedication, for your wise words, for your professional and human example, for the good-natured smile with which you illuminated everyone around you!

The academic community of Varna Free University and all who had the honor of knowing him will remember him forever.

We express our most sincere condolences to his family and loved ones.

The funeral will take place on 06.03.2025 (Thursday) at 1:00 pm in the Ritual Hall of the Central Sofia Cemetery.
