The Academic Dance Theater at Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar", together with the Municipality of Varna, hosts а gala concert "Bulgaria - Our Legacy", which will take place on March 3 - the National Holiday of Bulgaria, at 6.00 p.m. at the Festival and Congress Center in Varna.
We will see the wonderful dancers majoring in Choreography at VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar", who this year will touch the hearts of the audience not only with the magic of the dance but also by telling the story of the ideal of freedom.
The folk ensemble of "Konstantin Preslavski" Secondary School of Humanities and Arts, "Zornitsa" children's dance ensemble, "Rodina" Folklore Dance Theater, the children from the Municipal Children's Complex, Art dance Ballet and students from the National Art School "Dobri Hristov" will take part in the celebration. The actor Svilen Stoyanov will be he presenter and the script and the directing of the performance "Bulgaria - a Legacy" were done by the team of the Academic Dance Theater - Prof. Petar Angelov, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Maria Kardzhieva and Dr. Ivaylo Ivanov.
Varna Municipality places their trust in the team of the Academic Dance Theater at VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" for the sixth consecutive year for the realization of this spectacular celebration", says the choreographer of the Academic Dance Theater, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Maria Kardzhieva. "The biggest gift is that Hall 1 of the Festival and Congress Center is always full, people are eager to see the show and share that energy and emotion are unforgettable. These are words that charge us. And indeed magic happens in the hall, the audience understands our messages, we touch the hearts of the people and make them feel real Bulgarians. It is unique! This is what success means for an artist," added Assoc. Prof. Kardzhieva.In honour of the 141st anniversary of the Liberation of Bulgaria, the traditional expedition to Shipka peak will be held. It is organized by the Russian Center and the Students Council at Varna Free University. Traditionally students and lecturers will put wreaths and flowers on the monument of freedom and will participate in the celebrations for the national holiday of Bulgaria. They will also visit the museum in Stara Zagora where they will learn about the history of the national sanctuary - the Samara flag.
