Chief Assist. Prof. Dr. Daniel Iliev received the “Lawyer of the Year” award
Chief Assist. Prof. Dr. Daniel Iliev was awarded the “Lawyer of the Year” distinction at an official ceremony of the Union of Lawyers in Bulgaria, held to mark the anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution and the professional holiday of legal professionals. The event took place in the presence of the President of the Republic of Bulgaria Iliana Yotova, the caretaker Minister of Justice Andrey Yankulov, and the Chairperson of the Constitutional Court Pavlina Panova.
Dr. Daniel Iliev is a prosecutor at the District Prosecutor’s Office in Dobrich, holds a PhD in criminal law, and is a lecturer at Varna Free University “Chernorizets Hrabar”. The award from the Union of Lawyers in Bulgaria is related to his work as a prosecutor and his involvement in investigating telephone fraud schemes in the country in recent years.
The distinction is a recognition of the professional commitment of the university’s academic staff and their active role in the practice of justice.
