“eHealth” Comes to Varna Free University

09 September 2026
Students, lecturers and staff members of Varna Free University “Chernorizets Hrabar” will be able to activate the “eHealth” mobile application on site at the university.

The mobile service point, organized jointly with the Regional Health Insurance Fund - Varna, will operate on September 30th and October 1st, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Central Foyer.

Experts will assist users in linking their mobile devices to their electronic health records. The service is free of charge, and no qualified electronic signature is required for on-site activation.

Important:
Those wishing to use the service must visit the service point in person and bring a valid identity document. They must also install the “eHealth” application in advance, available on Google Play and the App Store.
The mobile device must have an internet connection, a working camera for scanning QR codes, and screen-lock protection enabled using a PIN, password, pattern, fingerprint or facial recognition.

What Does “eHealth” Offer?

The application provides fast and secure access to electronic health records stored in the National Health Information System. Users can check information about medical examinations, issued referrals and electronic prescriptions, laboratory test results, hospital stays and vaccinations.
Information on blood donation, medical assessments and protocols for high-cost medicinal products is also available. Parents can access the electronic health records of their minor children, including information about medical examinations, vaccinations, prescriptions and medical certificates issued.
The application sends real-time notifications whenever new medical activity is added to a health record. The “Long-Term Care” module provides personalized information about preventive examinations and tests to which users are entitled based on their age and gender.
The information is presented in an accessible format and is available at any time via the user’s mobile device.
Every access to an electronic health record is logged, and the application also allows additional biometric security to be enabled. When the application is deactivated, personal and medical data are removed from the device.

Why Should We Install “eHealth”?

“eHealth” brings important health information together in one place, allowing us to access it quickly whenever needed. The application saves time, makes it easier to keep track of prescribed tests, prescriptions and referrals, and enables users to promptly identify any new activity added to their health record. Access to the preventive care calendar supports users in taking care of their health, while the parental profile makes it easier to monitor children’s health information. The use of electronic documents reduces the need for paper records and the risk of important medical information being lost.

We look forward to welcoming you at the on-site “eHealth” registration point:
