FIVE STUDENTS OF VFU "CHERNORIZETS HRABAR" WERE AWARDED NAMED STUDENT AWARDS

Five students of Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" were honoured with student awards by the Mayor of Varna Blagomir Kotsev and the Chairman of the Municipal Council Hristo Dimitrov. The event, organised by the Municipality of Varna, brought together prominent students, teachers, parents and guests in honour of the upcoming student holiday – 8th December.
 
The law students Slavena Georgieva and Maria Borislavova were awarded in the category "Social, Economic and Legal Sciences". They are part of the VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" team, which won first place at the National Competition in Administrative and Legal Sciences. In the field of higher education "Technical Sciences" awards were received by the architecture students Maya Dimitrova and Trayana Yordanova, who won first place in the architectural competition for the design of student dormitories and residential buildings "Chaika". Nadezhda Hristova, a fourth-year student of Graphic Design, won the named award in the professional field "Arts". Nadezhda is the winner of a competition for product packaging.
 
A total of 21 students received a plaque and an honorary diploma for achieving high results at the ceremony, which was held in the Plenary hall of the Municipality of Varna. The host of the festive programme was our student Delyana Penkova, who is majoring in Architecture, and a musical greeting was given by Ilina Ilieva, a student of Psychology".
 
"It is a great joy and honour for me to present you with these awards. I am sure that your success is the fruit of both your qualities and hard work, put in during many sleepless nights. In addition to excellent students, I am convinced that you will also be good professionals - leaders, innovators, scientists - in the fields in which you develop. I believe that you can realise yourself anywhere in the world and that you will glorify Varna," said Mayor Kotsev in his greeting. He wished the students to continue to work hard, to dream, to have enthusiasm and confidence that all their endeavors bring success not only for them, but also for the entire society. The Chairman of the Municipal Council Hristo Dimitrov also extended his greetings to those present.
