Future Designers from Varna Free University Designed Creative Tourist Guides

The students majoring in Graphic Design at Varna Free University successfully completed the task of designing a book - within the framework of the educational process taught by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Viktor Petkov, 3rd and 4th year students made printed editions of tourist guides for cities of their choice. Their task was to build a graphic network that harmoniously unites text, illustrations and colors, with the emphasis on presenting the cultural and tourist attractions of the cities.
Excellent projects were presented by third-year students Petar Tsvetkov, who chose London, and Volodymyr Fedotov, who presented the magic of Bali. Kaloyan Petkov made an impression with an original cover of the tourist guide for Lovech. Excellent results were achieved by Veronika Nenova and Gergana Koleva, who demonstrated skills and attention to detail. The best projects among the fourth-year students were the ones of Evelina Godemanova, Emily Dimitrova and Svetoslava Hristova.
"It is wonderful that the students use imagination and a professional approach into their work. They not only master the basic principles of design, but also manage to present the spirit of the cities they have chosen. The projects have the potential to be realized as real printed works," commented Assoc. Prof. Dr. Viktor Petkov.
The students' creative solutions, their talent, diligence and achieved results establish Varna Free University as an environment for inspiration, development and shared creativity.
Admission to Graphic Design for the academic year 2025/2026 has begun at VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar".
Full-time and part-time mode of training is provided. Candidates can submit documents online or on site at the university campus. They have to submit a portfolio with graphic, pictorial, plastic, and advertising works.
The following are also recognized as a candidate exam:
► the grade from a state exam in the specialty of high school graduates with a focus on arts and design,
► prize-winning places from national and international competitions and contests in the field of design.
The ranking score is formed by the sum of the doubled grade from the exam and the doubled grade from the average grade from the diploma for completed secondary education.
