Future economists, IT specialists and managers received their diplomas at a solemn ceremony at Varna Free University “Chernorizets Hrabar”on 11 May 2018. The graduation ceremony was attended by the President of Varna Free University Prof. Anna Nedyalkova, D.Sc., Prof. Pavel Pavlov, PhD - Vice-Rector for Scientific Research, the Dean of the Faculty of International Economics and Administration Assoc. Prof. Eleonora Tankova, PhD, the Scientific Secretary of the Faculty Veselina Spasova, PhD, Assoc. Prof. Maria Velikova, PhD - Head of the Department of Administration, Management and Political Science and Assoc. Prof. Galya Momcheva, PhD - Head of the Department of Informatics and Economics.
In her address to the graduates Prof. Nedyalkova stressed that the university has more to offer to the graduates because the dynamic environment in which we live does not allow them to lag behind. The innovative programmes in the field of digital economy, entrepreneurship and new technologies are tailored to these new needs, so the university lends a hand to partner with its graduates.
Special guest at the event was the director of the territorial directorate of the National Revenue Agency - Varna Milena Koleva.
Diplomas were received by 108 bachelors of Business Administration and Management, Public Administration and Management, Business Administration, Business Management in Tourism, International Marketing, Finance and Accounting, International Relations and Law, International Relations, European Studies, Political Studies, International Economic Relations, Informatics and Informatics and Computer Science.
23 of the graduated bachelors have achieved excellent results during their studies as one of them is a straight-A student.
The graduated masters have studied in the following master’s degree programmes:
Project Management Financed by the European Union Funds, Management of International Business Projects, Leadership in a Global Environment, Administration and Law, European Administration and Management, Advertising and Public Relations in Business Management, Finance and Accounting, Financial Audit, Marketing and Public Relations in Education, Science and Culture, Digital Marketing and Web Design, Software Engineering, International Politics and Security, International Finance, Finance, Financial and Banking Management and Marketing, Accounting and Auditing and European Administration and Management. 38 of the students graduated with excellent results, while five were straight-A graduates who received their diplomas personally by the President of Varna Free University Prof. Anna Nedyalkova, D.Sc.
Hristo Rusev, a graduate of International Relations and Law, also received his diploma. He is one of the already recognizable faces of Varna Free University - scholarship holder of the programmeof VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" "I will lstudy and I will succeed in Bulgaria" who have participated in the youth forum "Parusa Ruskava Mira", organized by the Russkiy Mir Foundation .
His first film entitled "Happy Hours" about life in Paris after the bloody attacks is a message for more peace and life in a more normal world – of mutual help and welfare. The film was officially presented in the framework of the programme dedicated to the 25th Anniversary of the University in 2016.
The graduates of the master's degree programmes in Tax and Customs Control and Financial Audit- Myudzhe Alieva and Venelin Kochev are participants in the first national competition held by the CFI in Bulgaria.
