Today is one of the dearest Bulgarian holidays - the National Enlighteners Day!
The enlightener is a symbol and a spiritual category in which great Bulgarians have interwoven their names, igniting the spark of knowledge in the soul and mind. Bright personalities, brave spiritual leaders, educators, writers and revolutionaries, who succeeded with their work, ideas and example to awaken the desire for knowledge, spirituality and development. Along with them we place the spiritual companions of Varna Free University - Damian Damyanov, Stefan Tsanev, Valeri Petrov, Pavel Matev, Evtim Evtimov, Gena Dimitrova, Teodosii Spasov and many others. Their direct dialogue about creativity accompanies students throughout the history of the university – for more than three decades.
Today, our efforts are aimed at building worthy, responsible and competent citizens of Bulgaria, therefore we lead young people into the vast and beautiful world of science, art and spirituality.
Our lecturers - the modern enlighteners, preserve, develop and transmit that living longing for new horizons in education, science and culture.
We must not forget that the foundation of education is the family. Therefore, as parents, we must also be responsible for building mutual respect and trust, for preserving spiritual values.
We are called to serve knowledge, to develop and pass it on to young people, and to apply it in the interest of society! Together we create an environment that fully meets the requirements of business and the economy. We create science and innovations necessary for the intelligent growth of Bulgaria. Together we develop the creative and innovative potential of young people, preserve the Bulgarian language and our centuries-old traditions, and skillfully meet the challenges of the digital age.
