LAW STUDENT IMPRESSES WITH SCIENTIFIC REPORT AND WINS FIRST PRIZE IN ESSAY COMPETITION

Megan Kuninska, a second-year law student at Varna Free University, impressed the participants in the International Scientific Conference entitled Law: Theory and Practice, which took place at the end of last week as part of the Summer Scientific Session of the Faculty of Law. She presented a report with an in-depth analysis of case law on the topic of cyberbullying as a digital form of domestic violence and received an invitation to join the Student Legal Scientific Academy under the patronage of the Vice President of the University, Yani Yanev.
Her successful performance at the scientific forum is yet another recognition of her activity and academic achievements. Recently, Megan Kuninska was awarded first prize among students in the essay competition on the topic “Mediation from my Perspactive”. The best works were evaluated by a jury chaired by Judge Marin Marinov – President of the Court of Appeal – Varna. The competition is organised annually by the University Mediation Centre at the University of Economics – Varna, Itera
Megan also received a certificate for excellent performance in the essay competition on the topic Can Mediation Help Reduce Aggression among Young People?, organised by the National Association of Mediators.
Megan Kuninska is a graduate of the Professional High School of Tourism "Prof. Dr. Asen Zlatarov" - Varna. For many years she has been a tennis player and reached third place in the national ranking among girls. She speaks English, and in April she participated with an author's translation of poetry in the Reading Marathon organised at Varna Free University. She is also actively involved in the activities of the Student Council.
With her academic, creative and sporting achievements, Megan Kuninska is among the bright young people who worthily represent the community of Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar".
