LAWYER STEFAN PAROV: ACADEMIC KNOWLEDGE IS TRANSFERRED TO THE COURTROOM

05 August 2025

Stefan Parov is a graduate of Varna Free University. He graduated with distinction from Crime Prevention and Public Order Protection and Law at the Faculty of Law. Today, he is a lawyer in the Plovdiv Bar Association and a defender in cases of public interest, many of which often make headlines.

His professional journey began as a criminal investigator. He took part in uncovering serious crimes and gained experience, which he later transferred to his work as a lawyer.

His decision to study law stems from an inner need to seek the truth and to be of service to people. He defines law as a symbol of justice – a concept that every person strives for throughout their life.

In the video you can watch, lawyer Parov talks about his favorite professors who not only imparted knowledge but also shared real-life examples from the life and profession of a lawyer. Among them stands out Prof. Yonko Kunev, Dean of the Faculty of Law, whose lectures combine theoretical knowledge with practical examples – an approach that had a lasting impact on his preparation.

“If you want to become a good lawyer, you must first learn the rules – just like you can't drive a car without knowing the traffic laws, you can't enter the courtroom without being prepared,” he says.

He also sends a message to the students of the Faculty of Law at Varna Free University to be ambitious, persistent, loyal, and honest – qualities that according to him, are the foundation for building trust and professional authority.
