Eleven years of success for the master programme “International Business Project Management”

19 January 2015

The “International Business Project Management” master programme has been successful for ten year now. This is the first master programme in Bulgaria, which follows all stages of project management and the development of successful projects. The training course includes units which look into the elements of financial analysis and working out of the project proposal budget.

The updated programme curriculum includes researching the sources of funding available to the Bulgarian business enterprises within the new programme period 2014 – 2020, placing emphasis on the small and medium-sized enterprises and on investment projects. It also investigates funding by the structural instruments of the EU, the World Bank funds, the UN and international donor schemes and foundations.

The current year curriculum includes new courses in software management, social instruments for business enterprises, online financial management etc. Special focus is placed on the implementation of intelligent technologies in the process of managing and funding international projects.

The new highlights included on the programme have led to a change in its title – “Electronic Management and Funding of International Projects”.

The master programme is designed to train managers and consultants in the field of management and funding of international business projects.

Students can choose between full-time, part-time and distance learning mode of study. The programme is organised in three semesters, and is completed within one calendar year.

The training process comprises modules which provide students with knowledge and skills enabling them to design and implement regional, national and international projects.

The modules include a practical part which complies with the grant schemes in force. Once again this year the programme will enjoy international participation. Students will develop project proposals to apply for funding and will do work placements in a real professional environment. They will also do internships in EU member states and in the main European institutions in Brussels, for which they will receive certificates.

Successful graduates obtain a Master of Business Administration (MBA).

Evidence of the programme’s success is the fact that over 90% of the graduates occupy managerial positions not just at home, but also at prestigious European and international organisations.
