MAJOR DOCTORAL PROGRAMME OF VFU "CHERNORIZETS HRABAR" AWARDED THE HIGHEST GRADE BY THE PROGRAMME ACCREDITATION
The doctoral programme "Organization and Management Outside the Field of Material Production" in the professional field "Administration and Management" at VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" got a score of 9.35 (on a ten-point scale) from the National Agency for Evaluation and Accreditation. The evaluation strengthened the leading position of the doctoral programme at the university.
The programme is preferred by proven Bulgarian experts in various fields. Only a few days ago, the defense of Leona Aslanova took place, she is an expert and consultant in innovation with over 15 years of professional experience, founder of Innovation Starter - the first specialized innovation agency in Bulgaria. In July 2020, Vanuhi Arakelyan - Chairperson and Administrative Head of the Court of Appeal - Varna, defended her dissertation on "Project-target management model of the judiciary following the example of the Appellate Judicial District of Varna." The scientific development of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ivan Sokolov, Director General of the International Fair in Plovdiv and lecturer at the Smolyan branch of VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" is also closely linked with this doctral programme.
Foreign doctoral students from Poland, Lebanon, Israel, Germany, the Russian Federation, Kazakhstan, etc. are extremely interested in the programme. 32 people defended their doctoral degrees in "Organization and Management Outside the Field of Material Production". Currently, 12 doctoral students are taught in the programme, another 10 are expected to defend their thesis. Over 90% of the graduates have found a job in their field according to the Faculty of International Economics and Administration.
The scientific research in the doctoral programme is highly important for the study of the current issues of the organizations for the improvement of the management policy and structure, as well as for the transfer and acquisition of valuable economic and managerial knowledge. People who will be able to teach at universities in Bulgaria and abroad, who will do research and consult people in various scientific, business and public institutions and major business leaders are created by training doctoral students in the Department of Administration, Management and Political Science. In order to develop the relationship "education - science - business" doctoral students with extensive practical, expert or consulting experience in business management and the public sector are involved.
The academic community of the professional field "Administration and Management" reports increased interest in the scientific degree "Doctor of Science".
Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" offers 25 doctoral programmes in nine professional fields.
